IT’S A MeaD!!!!

April 28, 2009

Noah James MeaD

My son born on April 2nd 2009 10:20pm weighing 7 pounds 4 ounces measuring 20 inches long. Yes its a boy. I have a son right now he is a little over 2 weeks old now.

so a little about his birth. ill keep it short.

So Christina started having early labor pains that Tuesday we took her to the hospital. Her contractions were to erratic so they released us to go home. then that Thursday morning she stayed home from work she didn’t feel too good. She made me go to work cause she didn’t think the baby was coming yet. I wanted to stay home but she was forcing me to go so i went. then middle of the day she calls me saying the contractions are 3 min apart. i was like crap instead of me going up there to get her grandmother goes up and gets her and i meet her at the hospital. So the baby was coming we went up they admitted her. She was in so much pain they gave her some morphine and that knocked her out so she slept for a bit then the contractions got worse. So she decided to get the epidural. after that smooth sailing hours later she had a boy. the labor was smooth no complication the nurses bragged about how easy it was for them and Christina for a first child it was unheard of having a labor that easy.

After he was born that boy of mine was so wide eyed and looking at everything. they say that a baby will be alert for about an hour and then go into a deep sleep cause of all of the excitment and stuff he just went thru. NOT TRUE WITH NOAH. he was born at 10:20pm and he didn’t go to sleep till 3:30am. He was so alert and bright eyed he didn’t want to miss a thing. everything else has been a rollercoaster ride at least for me since i have never been around a baby. we had lots of guests in the hospital it was nice there a few nurses got on our bad side. The kind of RN’s that were there to do there job you know what i mean? then there were other ones that really loved there job and were really good at there job because of it.

Well I am super tired and haven’t had a lot of time to write on here this actually took me a week to write little bit at a time. I will write another post soo telling all the things that have happened and how he is doing.

the best words to descibe everything so far.

Exhausting

The Final Countdown

March 11, 2009

Ok so i haven’t been on here in quite some time. I have been crazy busy. There is so much to take care of and get ready. We had both of our baby showers actually we had 4 showers total. Her work threw her one and my work did as well. So that put us up to 4. we got some good baby loot. there were only a few things we had to pick up. Haven’t picked them all up yet but almost there. The final preparation to bring a child home is a ton of stuff. I never realized all the things until this past week. unpacking all the stuff get all the cloths washed. OH and ill tell you what washing a full load of laundry of baby cloths Horrible! cause a full load to a normal person is a few pairs of jeans some shirts and done. A baby 25 receiving blankets, 50 burp cloths, 20 shirts, 10 pairs of tiny socks, 17 bibs. yeah try folding all that at once. CRAP took me forever. anyway got all the stuff assembled and still having to get D batteries i finally know what D batteries are for baby toys i swear i never have use a D battery in my life and all of a sudden i need a case of them to make all these toys sing, vibrate, swing, & talk.  I have been trying to be as good of a husband as i can Trying to get all of the things done for the nursery for her and making as little work as possible. I also finished the nursery. Here is the link to my flickr to see the pics.

www.flickr.com/meadsblog

it turned out pretty sweet. all the eggs are hand painted and i created the art work of the yoshi’s and got them turned into wall stickers. but that whole thing took me about 3-4 solid months to do. started from re-drywalling and ended at the pics. everyone that has seen it says its amazing it took a lot of work. I hate painting but its a little different when you are doing it for you unborn child who would of thunk. we have less than 4 weeks to go still haven’t packed the labor bag. yeah super slacking on my part. christina is doing as good as can be expected for having another human inside her. the baby is starting to bare down. which means its coming in the next 4 weeks some time. she is totally ready for this baby to get out. I just want to see what the hell we have been waiting for. Boy or Girl thats the mystery i can’t wait to solve with the first glance of my child. (sappy part over)

What a X-Mas

January 8, 2009

Yeah so i realized i have not even wrote on my blog what i got for x-mas. so i didn’t get my Nikon D40 for x-mas. I did get a Nikon D60. yeah i got the one above that. I have an amazing wife that got me this amazing camera. Its great i got the D60 with the Nikon VR 15mm-55mm lens & Nikon 55mm-200mm lens too. along oh thats not it people. I thought that was it but christina went and got me more stuff to go with my new Fancy & Dandy camera. she also got me a new tripod with is a good one to start out with. then she got me the camera bag i was really wanting the lowpro slingshot 200AW. This bag is amazing i love it its easy to use i can access all the things in my bag with out taking it off it just slings around to the front and easy to open and access.

so then i was like YAY! but the kit she got me also included a year subscription to PC Photo. something to help me  learn how to use the little things like photography. ha ha. but i know you already know how much I love photography and this is my ticket into making a hobby into a obsession. he he. so my wonderful wife got me all these things so i have something really good to take pictures of my wonderful child that will be coming to our lives in a few months. so be prepared to start seeing me posting pictures and random things of photography now.

Dear Book…

January 6, 2009

So i am still up in the air about this but i don’t know i will have to see how it goes. But i am going to start writing a journal everyday… yeah. i don’t know if its going to work out either but i am going to use it as a challenge. my grammar is sooo horrible which i am sure that you know if you have ever truly read anything i have posted. but the biggest thing is my spelling. i want to improve it and relying on spell check all the time is not that helpful its more of crutch. But I really don’t know if I will like it or love it. i figured if i write something in it everyday no matter what and try to fill a page with is maybe 75 words. (not very big pages) It would help and refuse to spell things wrong. use a dictionary or word-speller just as long as i write it and learn it. i figure that will help me in some way. plus this coming year there is going to be a lot of things happening in my life. Life changing things that i may want to remember. plus i am not the most …. what’s the word….. eloquent person when it comes to words. so hopefully this might help as well. so the more and more I am thinking about the more i like the idea but we will see. i might do it for a week and quit who knows.

Let The Resolutions begin!

January 2, 2009

New years resolutions. i love them just for the simple fact its an excuse or reason for people to change something about them selves. I guess its crazy to think about the whole thing. the one holiday that has no meaning or purpose except.

Guy 1: Hey! its a new year lets get drunk.

Guy 2: Ok.

Guy 1: (after the hang over.) Wow that was horrible i want to never do that again.

Guy 2: oh yeah!  you ought to make that a resolution.

BAM! the birth of new years resolutions. I just always think its funny that what people want to do in the new year. its like I’m fat i want to lose weight for my resolution. cause quite honestly any other time of the year there isn’t a reason for me to loose weight.  i have to do it in the beginning of the year….. yeah. can’t do it cause your over weight and you want to do it just for your self. NO! its my New Year’s Resolution! Its just funny to me maybe you never thought of it the way i do. or you just think im a jerk. no matter what its funny to me. yeah well there are things i plan on doing this year so here is my list.

  1. Be the best DaD as possible.
  2. Be there for Christina when ever needed
  3. Become a better Photographer
  4. Get my farm back in shape from the windstorm
  5. get 2-4 more goats for the woods.
  6. Keep Growing and Learning in my field.

December 31, 2008

The Holiday Synopsis

December 3, 2008

HA HA HA! yeah right. if you believe this is a representation of a holiday you are stuck in the 50’s for sure. my thanksgiving was a unusual one this year not a bad unusual it different. i spent it in the smoky mountains. we rented a cabin with a bunch of Christina’s family and all made stuff for thxgiving and had it together. 4 some days stuck with in-laws no so bad luckily i am one of those people that get along with the in-laws and like them. i pretty sure they like me as well. but it was ok there were not as many tiffs and fights as i thought there would be. cause come on every freakin family fights and when your stuck so close together for so long something is going to happen but it was all good. but the only thing that sucked alot was the drive down i really didn’t do much of the driving which was great! i hate to drive if i didn’t have a license i would be just fine. i love the passenger seat and the back seat.  the other thing that sucked was we just didn’t have enough time and money to do all the things we wanted to do. but with vacations i think you never have enough time and money but all in all it was a good time.
